Sound Design | Tristangable

Over the last three years studying music technology and working as a freelance sounds designer and composer. I have begun to develop a relationship to sound and work towards a more immersive experience for the audience listener. I want to engage and captivate audiences by not only creating an emotional effect, but also one that feels as if us the audience, feel more inside the story and its settings. I believe that this idea of the immersive experience is only really, just beginning. Please check out the video links below to hear more.

Walter

Walter is short animation written and directed by Lorenzo Fresta.

WINNER "BEST ANIMATED FILM" at Los Angeles Festival of Cinema
WINNER "BEST ANIMATED SHORT FILM" at Rome Independent Film Festival (2020)

I chose this animation to compose to because I love how it takes animation back to its roots with its style. This had an affect on me because I grew up watching a similar style of animation. It reminded of the film Fantasia, which I would have on repeat as a child.

All of this gave made it quite a personal project and I believe that it brought out the best of my compositional abilities. It is not yet complete, but in this version can hear the guitar which is the main instrument I use to compose with.

The Mask

The Mask is a dark comedy short, stop motion animation directed by Molly Veal.

Roles: Sound Designer, Assistant Sound Engineer, Voice Cast Member

This is one of the many project I was lucky to work on with Antonella. We met at UEL and instantly found that we worked well together. I was involved in nearly aspect of sound for this project including recording the voice overs to being a sound engineer in the studio for recording the soundtrack. But my main role was sound designer.
